The medical centers’ Foundation was incorporated as a charitable corporation in 2001 to “demonstrate regional support of the hospital and to offset a portion of its’ original costs. In 2003 it attained its’ goal of raising $3 million through the Campaign For the Future resulting in 1200 Founding Donors permanently honored in a striking lobby display. The Foundation then dedicated “living memorial” areas of the hospital honoring major contributors with appropriate wall plaques. A Campaign for the Hospital, ongoing regional solicitations and successful grant applications have continued to generate funding for the Foundation’s mission of “serving, supporting and enhancing the PPRMC on behalf of the community.”
The Foundation established its volunteer services to provide gift shop, art gallery and children’s area to enhance the hospital’s interior with ongoing landscaping and perimeter fitness trail construction intended to compliment the campus.
