Sneezy & Wheezy are the stars of a puppet show, which is a FREE Asthma education program for area elementary school age children and their parents. Sneezy & Wheezy are two friendly "monsters" who have different types of Asthma. They teach participants how to identify triggers, signals of an attack and what to do if an attack occurs. It also helps kids who have siblings or friends with Asthma to better understand the disease. The program has been developed through generous funds donated from the Ute Pass-Woodland Park Kiwanis to the Pikes Peak Regional Medical Center Foundation. "Since asthma is the most common chronic condition among children, we felt this important educational tool was a need that should be met," said Susan Grina, Foundation President. The goal is to help children control their Asthma and not let Asthma control them. For additional information or to book a performance, call 719-686-5701. The behind the scenes puppet people are Lori Smith (Director of Inpatient Services and Acute Care – Cardio Pulmonary) and her clinical lead, Azure Morris.
